It’s with deep sadness that I announce the relocation of Total Baseball to the Fort Collins / Loveland, Colorado area at the end of October, 2024.  This move has been in the works for a few years now but the finality is here. It’s been nearly 25 years since you began entrusting the baseball development of your kids to us, something we never took lightly.  Some players continued playing into college and the professional ranks.  Others finished out their high school career and have become well respected and responsible young citizens.  In fact, some of those same people have begun to trickle back in with their own children!!  Holy cow!!  The stories we have could fill an encyclopedia series from A to Z!!!  God has blessed me in my life to do what I truly love to do!!!  Not many people can say they love going to work every day!!

My biggest hope is that I treated each and every player with the same amount of energy, love and respect that I would have wanted to be treated with myself, regardless of their ability.  I hope I helped create better young men and women first and players second.  There’s nothing better than hearing the children’s life stories.  I believe there is a teaching moment in every situation, one of the many reasons I named my company Total Baseball.

I loved the challenge of finding new ways to teach the basic fundamentals.  Without those, it’s almost impossible to advance to the next level.  I’m not sure who said it but “Great players do the basic things well!”  I’ve tried hard to maintain that philosophy.  Get those right, we’ll move on the next thing and the next thing and…..

So thank you for 25 years of your business and loyalty. I pray that the future keeps everyone safe, healthy and playing this great game.

To the people of northern Colorado area, I say hello and I look forward to continuing to offer that same dedicated service.  I love working with players of any age but especially those from 5-14.  It’s the age where we have to create a solid foundation to work from.  Want to pitch, first learn how to throw.  Want to learn how to catch ground balls, first develop better hands and feet.  Develop your posture at the plate.  Play catch with your parents every day if you can. Great things will happen with that kind of dedication.

I utilize a state of the art video review system.  Every swing, pitch or ground ball is filmed and played in a continuous playback similar to tape delay.  In doing so, you can execute a repetition and then watch that rep while you get ready for the next one. Spin rates, exit velocity and bat speeds are recorded and displayed. I also utilize a video pitching system for hitting whereby a video of age appropriate pitchers are shown on a 10′ screen.  The video displays a pitcher going through his delivery.  At release, a machine will throw different types of pitches, fastballs to sinkers, change-ups to curve balls and sliders. It’s an ideal tool for players of all ages and abilities.

My new facility will be located on the Fort Collins / Loveland line.  It’s currently in the renovation process and I hope to be open by November 1.  Stay tuned here for updates as I will keep you posted.  Feel free to email or call us at (970) 580-8601 for more information.
